The 4 Types of Benign Cyst
An ovarian
cyst is a fluid-filled tissue sac that appears on the ovary.The sac can be within or
on the surface of the ovary.
Some cysts fail to release the egg and can grow up to 1 or 2 inches and this kind of cyst is called follicular
cysts. This kind of condition is not severe and may disappear in 2 – 3 menstrual cycles.
There are some cyst which called as “Corpus Luteum Cysts“.These occur after the egg
has been released and can grow up to 4 inches in size and usually disappear within a few weeks. Ovarian Cyst Treatment
Other ovarian cysts are due to benign
tumors which does not invade other tissues and is not cancerous.There are 4 types of benign
cyst and these are:
* Dermoid Cysts – a cell that have hair, teeth and other
growing tissues that become part of a forming ovarian cyst. This can be big and cause pain.
* Endometriomas – a tissue from the lining of the uterus grows outside of it.The
tissue may attach to the ovary and form a growth and can be painful during sexual intercourse and menstruation.
* Cystadenomas – a cysts that develop from cells on
the outer surface of the ovary. It may be filled with watery fluid or thick, sticky gel. It can be large and

* Polycystic Cyst – composedof mature eggs in follicles or sacs
but the sac doesn’t break open to release the egg. The cycle repeats and follicles continue to grow inside the
ovary and the cysts form.
